I have had a passion for food and cooking for as long as I can remember. In fact, for many years I have been catering for friends and family. I have always loved reading food magazines, coming up with new recipes and creating new twists on classic dishes.

My Style of Cooking

I aim to please three senses: smell, sight, and taste. Even before you taste your first morsel, your senses are already heightened by the pleasing aromas emanating from the kitchen…You sit down at the table or approach the buffet, but before you even taste it, you have tasted it with your eyes! Ohh…that looks good! Then it’s your taste buds that come to life.

My culinary talents range from traditional home cooking of comfort foods such as savory four cheese meaty lasagna with sun dried tomatoes, spinach and other goodies to meat loaf and turkey dinners with all the trimmings. The more delicate dishes include panko encrusted halibut; sesame encrusted sushi grade seared tuna; and skewered jumbo shrimp surrounding a bay scallop in a chili lime marinade.

Everything I prepare is home cooked. The food is fresh- and good enough to go onto my own dinner table. Everything that I make is prepared off-site and then cooked in your kitchen. The way I look at it…if it is cooked in your kitchen, the meal is fresh. In my opinion, if something is reheated, cooked off-site and delivered to you fully cooked… it is like serving yesterday’s reheated meal at your affair. For years, my friends, my family and my co-workers have told me that I have missed my calling. I belong in the kitchen. There is nothing like the smell of a home cooked meal or the smiles of happy and well fed guests.

Whether it’s finding the perfect tomato in the height of season or serving a rich vegetable soup with just enough spice to warm your bones or a delicate creme brulee with the perfect crunch, I am at my best when I am creating something special. I've been called a foodie. At first I didn't know what it meant. (This is the truth). Over time, I began to understand what it meant. It means I love food and can not only appreciate a good meal, but create one of my own. SimplyDelish! was founded on my belief that I could share these talents with others.

I've been hosting and catering parties for over 20 years. From elegant dinner parties to casual cocktail parties to fun summer BBQs ...I've had lots of fun. Not to mention, the food is always a hit!
